I lived in an ashram ( spiritual community), The Life Foundation for several years where I learned and practised meditation and yoga. I then went on to do the three year teacher training diploma which developed whilst I was there. With gratitude to my teachers, Mansukh Patel, Chris Barrington, Jean Marvin and Swami Ravishankar.
My classes offer you a meditational space in which to experience the pleasure of releasing mental, physical and emotional tension through the breathing, stretching, twisting, balancing, squeezing, strengthening movements and poses that bring you into deep relaxation. My style of teaching is soft, flowing and heart centred and appropriate for EVERYONE!
After 20 years of teaching I have recently stopped my regular yoga classes in Stroud but I continue to offer yoga as workshops in Stroud and internationally. I have taught yoga and relaxation in many environments including anxiety management groups in the NHS and for 6 years in a womens prison on a part time basis. Recently I have been incorporating yoga with hypnotherapy in the courses that I run and I very much enjoy bringing these combined benefits to many people.
